Upcoming Events
Plan to attend The Riches of the Gospel of Mark, a series led by Fr. Eoin, to get a deper understanding of Mark's Gospel. There will be three sessions: March 14, 21, and 28, from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. in the Bishop Green room of the Church basement.
Lenten Soup Suppers will be held on Wed. March 14 and Wed. March 28 at 6:00 p.m. in the social hall. This is an opportunity to join with other parishioners for a simple soup and bread meal and to listen to a speaker from either Habitat for Humanity or St. Vincent Catholic Charities. There is no charge but a freewill offering will be taken and given to the charity.
The next "Young at Heart" potluck luncheon will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wed. March 21 in the Fr. Hankerd room of the church basement. Bring a dish to pass and your own table service. Come and enjoy a good meal, good company, and maybe a good game of cards.
Catholic Reading
Past issues of the easy-to-read Catholic Update newsletters are available for viewing at http://www.americancatholic.org/Newsletters/CU/Archive.aspx .
For other reading material, check the magazine rack next to the main church doors and the Liguori and CareNotes pamphlet racks in the extension's vestibule. During the week, you can stop into the parish office to check out books, CDs, and movies from the parish library. Also, Holy Spirit Catholic Books & Gifts has a variety of titles for sale on their book rack in the vestibule of the extension.
